You will do it anyways.
For yourself, for love, even life.
These days I’m really struggling to write. After almost 8 days, I’m here writing something. I’m doing it anyway, sick, weak, or late. Because showing up matters, I’m here. Today’s writing might not bring a lot to your table, but I still hope you’ll sit with me.
You know when you’re on a ride and some truck rushes dangerously from the front, you squint your eyes and tighten your fist as if it will stop the truck from crushing you down. You do it anyway.
I think this works in every other aspect of life, too. When you’re aware of a danger, you try your best to grab on. Be it anything. Even if it is nothing but spikes and thorns, if the reward is surviving, anything is worth holding on to. If you’re aware of the danger, you do it anyway. The important thing is that you being able to sense that danger. Having the senses to feel is a gift that you should have no matter what, even if sometimes it needs earning.
Sometimes what we do is a reflex because we know the opposite terms of things. We automatically know that day comes after night, so we expect both day and night. We sleep knowing that we will wake up. And just like that, you need to grow a reflex of coming back on track and do stuff anyway. Because in the end, we do it anyway. So it’s your choice to make if you would do those because you want to or you have to.
Life doesn’t go easy for everyone, but it does get easier; time passes anyway, and you do what you have to do.
